Barnstaple & District Dog Training Society
For agility we welcome all handlers aged 10 years and up. Their dogs can be any shape or size but must be a minmum of 12 months old.
The agility classes for beginners are held on Monday 7.15pm - 9.15pm (This is an aprox finish time as we have to pack away the equipment when we have finished) There are three sections to this class which each member progresses through. For the more advanced members there is a class on Wednesdays (Same time) All classes include a chance to practice both jumping and agility. For those who wish to join the club there is an £8 annual subscription fee, and £12 per dog every 4 weeks.
The club has a variety of equipment that meets the strict specifications of The Kennel Club. There are two seperate locations for agility. In the winter we are based near Shirwell in an indoor horse school. In the Summer we are based near Roundswell in a large field. We find that having the two places encourages our dogs to experience different environments ready for those competitions.
